The holidays are for helping with TXU Energy AidSM

The holidays are all about giving and sharing. What a perfect time to help those less fortunate with their energy bill. You can make the holidays brighter for Texans on low and fixed incomes by contributing to TXU Energy AidSM. This fund was created to provide temporary bill payment assistance for thousands of families who are in need.

For 25 consecutive years, TXU Energy AidSM has provided more than $45 million in bill payment assistance, helping over 320,000 families in need. We've been happy with the success so far, but we're not stopping there. In 2007, TXU Energy announced it was contributing $5 million per year for the next five years to the TXU Energy AidSM program, the largest bill payment assistance program among electricity companies in the nation.

You, too, can participate in this vital program. 100% of your donation goes to families in need - in particular to families in your own community. There are three ways you can help make a difference:

  • 1. Your TXU Energy bill Fill out the form on the back of your bill. Or, watch for and fill out one of our periodic bill inserts. You can submit it with your bill payment.
  • 2. E-mail Send an email to the Customer Advocacy Group. Be sure to include name, address, day-time phone number, electric account number and the amount of your desired recurring monthly or one-time donation in the email.
  • 3. Call Follow the voice prompts on our toll-free number, 1-877-281-6359.

Monthly, recurring donations are the simplest and most effective way we can provide ongoing help to the families in our communities. Or, if you prefer, you can also make a one-time donation.
